A detailed guide to using RugCheck.xyz to evaluate token safety on Solana, understanding each risk factor, and interpreting the results.

Step 1: Visit RugCheck

Navigate to rugcheck.xyz in your browser. The tool is free to use and does not require a wallet connection for basic scans.

Step 2: Enter Token Address

Paste the Solana token contract address into the search bar. Make sure to use the correct address from official sources to avoid analyzing the wrong token.

Step 3: Review Risk Score

RugCheck provides an overall risk assessment ranging from Good to Danger. Read the overall score but also examine individual risk factors for a complete picture.

Step 4: Understand Risk Factors

Review each risk category: liquidity lock status, mint authority, freeze authority, top holder concentration, and LP token distribution. Each factor contributes to the overall score.

Step 5: Check Liquidity Details

Verify the total liquidity amount, whether LP tokens are burned or locked, and the lock duration. Higher liquidity and longer locks indicate better safety.

Step 6: Make an Informed Decision

Use the RugCheck results alongside other research. A perfect score does not guarantee success, but a poor score should make you reconsider the investment.
